The Peel Region has a diverse economy with substantial economic growth and is currently acknowledged as Australia's fastest growing and most rapidly developing region outside the metropolitan area. The Peel Chamber of Commerce & Industry (established July 1960) represents the business community in our region and is the established voice of business on a range of issues impacting on the business community.
With the departure of Delys Gebert, Sean Wrigley has been appointed CEO of the Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
For the past 7 years, Sean has has been with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia (CCIWA) with the past 4 years in a senior role heading up the Education and Training and Policy unit. Throughout his career he has engaged in a diverse range of roles across the employment, training andeducation sector including membership on peak decision making bodies, including Western Australia's Curriculum Council and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Employmen, Education and Training Committee.
Prior to joinging CCIWA in 2002, he was a secondary teacher at Pinjarra Senior High School, and in 2001 was awarded a regional National Excellence in Teaching Award. He is actively involved in community sport in the Peelregion as a commitee member, coach in junior and senior football, and is also involved as a coach in the Peel Thunder Development Squads.
Sean is looking forward to working with the Peel CCI Executive, Chamber Members and the broader Peel business community.
