Unlike other Zoos, instead of just walking past the animals and looking, Peel Zoo have some animals that you can feed and interact with. Animals like Kangaroos, Deer, Baby Goats, Australian Birds, Long Nose Potoroos, Spotted Tailed Quolls, Baby Alpacas and more. You can even cuddle “Chase” the Peel Zoo mascot dog! Owners, Tony and Narelle, want you to interact with the animals and make the most of your visit to Peel Zoo.

The zoo has lots of grassed areas, so bring along a picnic and make use of the barbeque facilities. The lake side party area is perfect for the whole family to enjoy a day at the zoo and is also available for private functions. Making a day of it means that the kids can not only have lunch with their favourite animal, they can learn about it too. Mum and Dad can relax while the children are entertained, feeding and interacting with the animals.

They also have an extensive collection of some of the most colourful and interesting native and exotic birds in Western Australia.

The Peel Zoo have a partnership with Mandurah Wildlife Rescue where they help sick and injured animals to rehabilitate and eventually be released back into the wild. The strong message of conservation of our natural environment, and care for all living creatures, can be imparted to kids while they wonder at all sorts of interesting characters up close and personal.

 

Currently the Bali Zoo is at risk of being closed down. Tony Greenwood and his family made a visit to Bali to help rebuild and restore the zoo. Taking advantage of their tropical jungle setting, renovations of the enclosures will continue to ensure the animals can live comfortably. Tony and his family are still doing everything in their power to prevent closure of the Zoo.
